NOA Outpatient Coordinator II

Summary

Under the supervision of the Lead, NOA Operations the NOA Outpatient Coordinator II’s primary responsibility is to accurately prepare and process the Notice of Action letters for MPM’s assigned managed care members.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Review and process daily letter assignment requests (i.e. denials and modifications)
  • Comply with MPM/UM policies and procedures and regulatory standards (i.e., CMS, NCQA) to maintain a Notice of Action letter compliant with: 
    1. Letter template accuracy 
    2. Language accuracy
    3. Grade level literacy 
    4. Provider and member notification timeliness 
  • Comprehensive review of Medical Director and Clinician documentation to include all elements required to process the letter accurately: 
    1. Criteria, policy, or EOC attachment accuracy
    2. Member’s authorization and claims history
    3. New approved authorization (if applicable)
  • Provide coverage for sub-teams (i.e. NOA packets, Carve Out Letters), as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
  • Attend NOA meetings

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience in the healthcare industry/utilization management  
  • Completion of medical terminology course
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • This position will require weekend and holiday coverage as needed

Salary Range:

  • $24.00 to $26.00 hourly
